The Epicenter of Little Saigon Needs a Grease Hauler That Can Handle the Volume

Westminster is the true epicenter of Little Saigon — the largest Vietnamese community outside of Vietnam. Bolsa Avenue between Magnolia and Brookhurst is a two-mile stretch of nonstop Vietnamese restaurants, bakeries, and food courts that operate from early morning until late at night. The density is staggering: it is common to find ten or more restaurants in a single strip mall, each running multiple fryers and woks simultaneously during peak hours.

Asian Garden Mall and the Phuc Loc Tho complex anchor the corridor with dozens of food stalls producing spring rolls, fried rice, banh xeo, and caramelized dishes in volumes that dwarf a typical American restaurant. The surrounding blocks on McFadden, Hazard, and Westminster Boulevard add hundreds more Vietnamese, Chinese, and pan-Asian restaurants to the city's total output. This is not a market where a generic biweekly pickup schedule works.
