Terms of Service

Last updated: January 2026

Agreement to Terms

By using the services provided by Kitchen Oil Recycling ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all services including used cooking oil pickup, grease trap cleaning, container provision, and use of our website.

Services

We provide used cooking oil collection, grease trap cleaning, emergency overflow response, and related waste management services to commercial food establishments in Southern California. Service availability, scheduling, and scope are determined during onboarding and may be adjusted at any time by mutual agreement.

No Long-Term Contracts

All services are provided on a month-to-month basis. Either party may terminate service at any time without penalty or cause. We do not require long-term contracts, minimum service periods, or cancellation fees.

Pricing

Used cooking oil pickup is provided at no charge for qualifying commercial kitchens. Grease trap cleaning and emergency services are provided at rates quoted before work begins. We reserve the right to adjust pricing for paid services with thirty days written notice.

Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to your grease containers
  • Not contaminate used cooking oil with water, chemicals, or non-oil waste
  • Notify us of any changes to your address, contact information, or service needs
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding grease disposal

Equipment and Containers

Containers and equipment provided by Kitchen Oil Recycling remain our property. They are provided for your use at no charge during active service. Upon termination of service, we will retrieve our equipment at a mutually convenient time. You are responsible for reasonable care of the equipment while it is at your location.

Liability

We carry commercial general liability insurance and take responsibility for damages caused by our employees or equipment during service visits. Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one thousand dollars, whichever is greater.

Compliance and Documentation

We generate CDFA-compliant manifests for every pickup and retain all records for a minimum of seven years as required by California law. These records are available to you through your online dashboard at any time.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.

Terms FAQ

No. All services provided by our company operate on a month-to-month basis with no minimum commitment period. You can start or stop service at any time without incurring cancellation fees, early termination penalties, or any other charges. We believe that service quality should be the reason you stay with us, not a legal obligation. If you decide our service is not the right fit for your restaurant, simply notify us and we will cancel your account immediately with no questions asked. This policy applies to all service types including used cooking oil pickup, grease trap cleaning, and container rental. There are no exceptions or special conditions.

We carry full commercial general liability insurance to cover any property damage that may occur during our service visits. In the unlikely event that our driver or equipment causes damage to your property — whether it is a spill, a dented bin enclosure, or damage to pavement — you should notify us immediately. We will document the issue, file an insurance claim, and work with you to resolve the matter as quickly as possible. Our drivers are trained professionals who take care around your property, but accidents can happen and we take full responsibility when they do. You will never be left to deal with damage caused by our team on your own.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing for paid services such as grease trap cleaning with thirty days written notice. However, used cooking oil pickup remains free for qualifying volumes and we do not anticipate changing that. Any material changes to these terms of service will be communicated to you via email at least thirty days before they take effect, giving you ample time to review the changes and decide whether to continue service. If you do not agree with updated terms, you can cancel immediately without penalty. We are committed to transparency, which means you will always know about changes well in advance and never be caught off guard by new policies or fees.
