The Spanish Village by the Sea Deserves Clean Alleys, Not Overflowing Grease Bins

San Clemente sits at the southernmost tip of Orange County with a restaurant scene shaped by its surf culture, coastal tourism, and small-town identity. Avenida Del Mar is the heart of downtown dining — a walkable stretch of independent restaurants, taco shops, breakfast joints, and seafood houses that draws locals and visitors from Camp Pendleton to Dana Point. The pedestrian-friendly streetscape means restaurant back-of-house areas are close to foot traffic, making clean grease management visible and important.

The T-Street and North Beach areas add surf-adjacent dining where fish tacos, acai bowls, and fried seafood platters keep fryers running through the coastal summer crowds. Along El Camino Real, the Outlets at San Clemente and the surrounding commercial corridors host a mix of fast casual and sit-down restaurants serving the freeway-adjacent traffic. The Talega and Forster Ranch communities inland add neighborhood dining spots that serve the residential population.

Our San Clemente route is the southernmost leg of our Orange County network. We run a dedicated south coast truck that covers San Clemente, Dana Point, and San Juan Capistrano in a single efficient loop. Avenida Del Mar pickups happen at dawn before the sidewalk cafes set up their tables. El Camino Real and outlet stops follow as the route moves north toward Dana Point.
